The Seronera Valley in central Serengeti, where the camp is located, is known for its abundance of resident wildlife throughout the year. The combination of the valley’s rivers and resident prey supports a thriving population of predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. As these carnivores maintain their territories year-round, guests have the opportunity to witness incredible wildlife encounters regardless of the season or the location of the large migratory herds. The dry season, from July to October, is particularly exciting as the competition for food increases, leading to dynamic hunting scenes.

Getting there
To reach Sametu Camp, the nearest airstrip is Seronera Airstrip, which can be accessed by a 60-minute flight from Arusha. Alternatively, guests can choose to travel by road, with the journey from Arusha to Serengeti Central taking approximately 7 hours covering a distance of around 300 kilometers.
