Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp consists of 8 Guest tents, a Lounge and a Dining tent. Each Guest tent is individually solar powered and contains a bedroom and en-suite bathroom with shower, a dressing table with sink, and a flush toilet. Plugs for charging are available only in the Lounge. Plugs for respiratory devices can be provided in the tent on demand. Complementary Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate are available in the Lounge at any time.
The camp is situated right after Lemala Gate, inside the Craters boundaries on the Lemala descent road, currently also being used as ascent road, ideally situated for early morning game drives into the Crater. After your game drive you may return to camp for a delicious lunch prepared by our chefs, then a lounge adjacent to the Mess tent awaits you for your afternoon relaxation and a cup of Tea in the shadow of the acacia forest.
Hiking
For the more adventurous the lodge offers sunset walks and hikings on the rim of the crater to a Maasai Boma. Hikings to or around Empakaai crater can also be organized from our camp. All nature walks and hikes are done in the company of an armed Ranger.
